Which Model Will Work For Me, In My Climate And With My Specific Needs?
Decide on how many units you will need. One unit will water up to 25-30 animals.
Then:
1st Choose Your Animal
Choose the type of animal you have from the drop down menu. If you have more than one type of animal, refer to the multiple animal guide below(*).
2nd Choose The Insulated Or Non-Insulated Drinker
If you live in a warmer climate with frost lines of 12 inches and less, you may use one of the Non-Insulated Drinkers. If you live in a colder climate with frost lines of 13 inches or greater, you will need the Insulated Drinker
3rd Do You Have Animals That Crib Or Chew Constantly?
If you have an animal that cribs or is a chronic chewer, the units with the chew guard will work best.

Drinker Model Selection Examples
Here are some examples to help you determine the right model for you.
– If you live in a climate with a frost line of 24 inches and you have horses, one being a chronic chewer, you would choose the insulated horse unit with the chew guard (900-IT).
– You have 6 cows and 8 horses, and you live in Ohio that has a 3 foot frost line. None of the animals have chewing issues. You would use the Insulated Cattle Drinker without the chew guard (800-I).
– If you live in Florida with a frost line of 1 inch and are watering sheep (without chewing issues), you would use the Non-Insulated Sheep Drinker without the chew guard (700-N).
– You have cattle and sheep (one sheep that chews constantly) and live in Wyoming, with a frost line of 4 feet. Use the Insulated Sheep Drinker with the chew guard (700-IT).
– You live in Southern Tennessee, with a frost line of 6 inches. You are watering a few horses and have one chewer. The Non-Insulated Horse Drinker with the chew guard would be your choice (900-NT).
